The Optima Batteries Super Modified Two wheel drive trucks were back in action Saturday night at the Clinton county fairgrounds in Wilmington, OH as the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League came to town for stop #2 on the Champions Tour season. Team M3 came into the event a truck down as the “Wide Open” Chevrolet suffered from catastrophic engine failure and could not answer the call. A highly competitive field of 27 trucks consisting of tour regulars and local pilots were in store for M3’s remaining “Thin Blue Line” entry. Tim Messer was test hook aboard TBL and dropped his first pass and came right back. An electrical issue at the end of the pass shut down the motor, but not before digging in at a distance of 301.58, which would be good for 2nd place until the weather conditions improved track conditions with the setting of the sun. “Thin Blue Line” would hold on for 12th position out of 27 hooks. “That’s just pulling you know, we drew early and came right back, and ran a solid pass, but the track just got better as the night went on” said Tim when asked about his night. The M3 pulling team congratulates Jared Nelson And the Midnight Revenger team on the win in Wilmington. The team will be back in action on July 9th when the tour rolls into Fairfield, IL.
